5.2 Scholarships
The intention is to provide scholarships to 2 students who would normally be unable to attend the summer school because of financial hardship, thus helping to widen participation. The scholarships will fund the cost of travel to the summer school and the summer school fee.
Written applications for the scholarships must be submitted with the abstract and be supported by a letter from the student’s supervisor. The scholarships will be awarded according to two criteria, (i) originality of the research, and (ii) financial hardship: the application should address these criteria clearly and concisely and include a full breakdown of the travel costs. The local organising committee will determine all applications. Applications received after the abstract deadline will not be considered.
