8.2 Conference Themes and Format

2.1 Themes
The organisers welcome students researching any aspect of the lean philosophy as applied to the design and construction process. (For guidance on IGLC Championship areas and themes see IGLC-12 Championships.)

2.2 Format
The summer school will be organised around themed workshop sessions in which students interact with fellow researchers and leading theorists/practitioners in the lean community. The themes will be designed to accommodate the scope of the students’ ongoing doctoral work and also to link to the IGLC focus areas. On Sunday afternoon a Plenary session will bring together all of the ideas and outcomes for discussion and development of a knowledge platform for future work and dissemination.

2.3 Output
A concise summary of the summer school output, including an overview of all participants work, will be published following the event.

2.4 Academic Credits
Participating students will qualify for 2.5 ECTS credits after successful completion of the summer school.
